In the series of their Equinoxe residential projects, the real estate developer Jadco Corporation hired NCK in 2016 for the conception and construction of two concrete towers, located alongside Daniel Johnson boulevard in Laval. The first phase of this project started in 2016, and the second phase is currently under construction.

The two towers have two levels of underground parking and have 15 floors of condo-type residences each. The owner’s demands  were that the structure must be as economical as possible. In order to respect these, NCK took several decisions regarding the structural frame using, for instance, a more efficient column grid, cantilevers allowing to stay below a certain amount concrete reinforcement and more economical column dimensions. These structural specifications defined by NCK have been adopted for all the new Equinoxe buildings.

For this project in Laval, NCK provided complete structural engineering consulting services.
