The Feuerwehrstützpunkt project in Bern involved a new fire station in the heart of the Swiss capital. The building is located in an industrial area near the centre of Bern.

The building structure is made of reinforced concrete, with roofs at different levels made of structural steel. A 36-metre tower was also built, to enable the firefighters to practice at heights. Strict constraints regarding seismic safety were met. In addition, special attention was paid to energy saving during construction, and Swiss standards were strictly followed in this regard.

For this project, NCK acted as the lead structural designer for the project.
