Built for the Algerian Ministry of National Defence, this 320-bed military and university hospital covers an area of 55,050 m² and was designed according to North American standards. The building is divided into several distinct blocks or parts distributed along an atrium that constitutes the main circulation axis.
The firm was responsible for the structural design, plans, as well as preliminary and final estimates for certain buildings. NCK’s mandate also included a training component for Algerian engineers and technicians who worked on the project in the firm’s offices. This project was therefore very enriching, both from a professional point of view (different standards, design and analysis processes) and from a socio-cultural point of view.
