The project of the CHSLD Biermans-Triest, now Jean-Hubert-Biermans, involved a four-storey extension of approximately 25% of the original surface of the building built in the 1950s, as well as a complete renovation of the existing building. The latter was reinforced to make it compliant with earthquake-resistant standards.

For this project on the east side of the Island of Montreal, NCK provided complete structural engineering consulting services.
