With the firm since 1967, Dr. Knoll has been one of his partners since 1978. He develops computer programs for the calculation of structural design and acts as a project manager and chief designer for high-rise buildings, special projects and the restoration, renovation and rehabilitation of existing buildings.
Dr. Knoll’s reputation goes far beyond the country’s borders as he oversaw the design of the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, in addition to being called upon for consultation to solve the structural problems posed by exceptional structures around the world. He has served on numerous technical committees, both nationally and internationally, and is the author of more than thirty publications on structural safety and, on behalf of the National Research Council of Canada, three manuals for the seismic rehabilitation of existing buildings. He is also the co-author of the book “Design for Robustness.”
Combined with exceptional knowledge of structural design, Dr. Knoll brings to any project his extensive experience as a practitioner, having been a project manager with the firm for more than 50 years.
